وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْفَرَّاءُ أنبأ مُحَاضِرُ بْنُ الْمُوَرِّعِ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ طَلْقٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي يُشَكُّ فِيهِ فَيَقُولُ بَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا مِنْ شَعْبَانَ وَبَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوَا الْهِلَالَ وَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوَا الْهِلَالَ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Kurayb reported that Umm al-Fadl sent him to Mu'awiyah in Syria. He said: 'I saw the crescent on Friday night. Then I came to Madinah at the end of the month, and Ibn Abbas asked me about the crescent. I said: "We saw it on Friday night." He said: "But we saw it on Saturday night, so we will continue fasting until we complete thirty or see it." I said: "Is the sighting of Mu'awiyah not sufficient?" He said: "No, this is how the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) commanded us."'
