أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى أنبأ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا النُّفَيْلِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أنَّهُ قَالَ فِي أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَهُمْ مَا أَسْلَمُوا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَعَبِيدِهِمْ وَدِيَارِهِمْ وَأَرْضِهِمْ وَمَاشِيَتِهِمْ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهِ إِلَّا صَدَقَةٌ

Abu Zakariyya Yahya ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya informed us: Abu al-Qasim Ali ibn al-Mu'ammal narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us: al-Nufayli narrated to us: Musa ibn A'yun narrated from Layth, from Alqama ibn Marthad, from Sulayman ibn Burayda, from his father, from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said regarding the People of the Covenant (Ahl al-Dhimma): They retain whatever they embraced Islam with of their wealth, slaves, houses, land, and livestock - there is nothing upon them in it except the charity.
