وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى الْكِنْدِيِّ عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ قَالَ أَخَذْتُ بِيَدِ مُصَدِّقِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَتَيْتُهُ بِنَاقَةٍ عَظِيمَةٍ فَقَالَ أِيُّ سَمَاءٍ تُظِلُّنِي وَأِيُّ أَرْضٍ تُقِلُّنِي إِذَا أَخَذْتُ خِيَارَ مَالِ امْرِئٍ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِنَاقَةٍ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ فَقَبِلَهَا
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Every Muslim must give charity.' They asked: 'What if he has nothing?' He said: 'He should work with his hands, benefiting himself and giving charity.' They asked: 'What if he cannot?' He said: 'He should help the distressed person in need.' They asked: 'What if he cannot?' He said: 'He should enjoin good.' They asked: 'What if he cannot?' He said: 'He should refrain from evil, for that is charity for him.'
