قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ يَعْنِي مَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَدِيبُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ثنا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رُبَّمَا ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَ الشَّاعِرِ وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَسْتَسْقِي فَمَا يَنْزِلُ حَتَّى يَجِيشَ كُلُّ مِيزَابٍ فَأَذْكُرُ قَوْلَ الشَّاعِرِ [البحر الطويل] وَأَبْيَضَ يُسْتَسْقَى الْغَمَامُ بِوَجْهِهِ ثِمَالُ الْيَتَامَى عِصْمَةٌ لِلْأَرَامِلِ قَالَ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Bukhari said: Umar ibn Hamzah narrated to us from Salim from his father who said: Sometimes I would recall the words of the poet while looking at the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) on the pulpit seeking rain. He would not come down until every gutter was gushing. I would recall the poet's words: 'Fair-faced, by whose face rain clouds are sought - shelter of orphans, protector of widows.' He said: This is the saying of Abu Talib.
