أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَزْهَرَ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ فَجَاءَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَخَطَبَ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ اجْتَمَعَ لَكُمْ فِي يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا عِيدَانِ فَمَنْ أَحَبَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعَالِيَةِ أَنْ يَنْتَظِرَ الْجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَنْتَظِرْهَا مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فَلْيَرْجِعْ فَقَدْ أَذِنْتُ لَهُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn al-Hasan the judge narrated to us... from Abu Ubayd, the freed slave of Ibn Azhar, who said: I witnessed the Eid with Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him). He came and prayed, then departed and gave a sermon saying: 'Two Eids have coincided for you on this day of yours. Whoever from the people of al-Aliyah wishes to wait for the Friday prayer may wait, and whoever wishes to return home may return, for I have given him permission.'
