Ibn Jabir narrated from Nafi': 'I went out with Abdullah ibn Umar heading to his land. He stopped at a place. A man came and told him that Safiyyah bint Abi Ubayd was very ill. That was after Asr. He set out quickly with a Qurayshi man. We traveled until the sun set, but he did not tell me to pray — though I knew him to be diligent in prayer. When he delayed, I said: The prayer, may Allah have mercy on you. He did not turn to me. He continued until at the very end of the twilight he dismounted and prayed Maghrib, then established the prayer when the twilight had disappeared, and prayed Isha. Then he turned to us and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), when he was pressed by a matter, would do like this.'
