أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنَ الْأَعْمَشِ وَلَمْ نَجِدْهُ هَهُنَا بِمَكَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ رَجَاءٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ ضَمْعَجٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللهِ فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ سَوَاءً فَأَعْلَمُهُمْ بِالسُّنَّةِ فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي السُّنَّةِ سَوَاءً فَأَقْدَمُهُمْ هِجْرَةً فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْهِجْرَةِ سَوَاءً فَأَكْبَرُهُمْ سِنًّا وَلَا يُؤَمُّ رَجُلٌ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ وَلَا يُجْلَسُ عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The people should be led in prayer by the one who has the most knowledge of the Book of Allah. If they are equal in recitation, then by the one most knowledgeable of the Sunnah. If they are equal in the Sunnah, then by the one who emigrated first. If they are equal in emigration, then by the oldest. And no one should lead a man in his domain of authority, and no one should sit in his place of honor in his house except with his permission.'
