أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ دَلَّوَيْهِ الدَّقَّاقُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْأَزْهَرِ بْنِ مَنِيعٍ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي زَيْدُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَدَّهُ أَبَا سَلَّامٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَارِثُ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ أَوْحَى إِلَى يَحْيَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا فَقَامَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ أَمَرَكُمْ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَإِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا قَامَ يُصَلِّي اسْتَقْبَلَهُ اللهُ بِوَجْهِهِ فَلَا يَصْرِفُ وَجْهَهُ عَنْهُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ الْعَبْدُ هُوَ الَّذِي يَصْرِفُ وَجْهَهُ عَنْهُ وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو تَوْبَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَقَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ فَإِذَا نَصَبْتُمْ وُجُوهَكُمْ فَلَا تَلْتَفِتُوا وَرَوَاهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ وَقَالَ فَإِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا تَلْتَفِتُوا

Abu al-Hasan Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Alawi informed us, Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Dallawayh al-Daqqaq informed us, Ahmad ibn al-Azhar ibn Mani' narrated to us, Marwan ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Sallam narrated to us. He said: My brother Zayd ibn Sallam narrated to me that he heard his grandfather Abu Sallam saying: al-Harith al-Ash'ari narrated to me. He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah the Exalted revealed to Yahya ibn Zakariyya.' So he stood, praised Allah, and said: 'Allah has commanded you with prayer. When the servant stands to pray, Allah faces him, so he should not turn his face away from Him until it is the servant himself who turns his face away.' Abu Tawbah also narrated it from Mu'awiyah and said in the hadith: 'When you direct your faces, do not turn about.' Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated it from Zayd ibn Sallam and said: 'When you stand for prayer, do not turn about.'
