أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْوَرَّاقُ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ خَلِيٍّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ قَرَظَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ؓ قَالَ اشْتَرَيْتُ شَاةً لِأُضَحِّيَ بِهَا فَخَرَجْتُ فَأَخَذَ الذِّئْبُ أَلْيَتَهَا فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ ضَحِّ بِهَا وَفِي رِوَايَةِ سُفْيَانَ اشْتَرَيْنَا كَبْشًا لِنُضَحِّيَ بِهِ فَقَطَعَ الذِّئْبُ أَلْيَتَهُ أَوْ مِنْ أَلْيَتِهِ فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُضَحِّيَ بِهِ وَبِمَعْنَاهُ

Abu al-Husayn ibn al-Fadl al-Qattan informed us, Isma'il ibn Muhammad al-Saffar informed us, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Warraq narrated to us, Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us from Jabir. And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn al-Hasan informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Khalid ibn Khali narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Khalid al-Wahbi narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us from Jabir from Muhammad - he is Ibn Qarazah - from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I bought a sheep to sacrifice, and I went out. A wolf took its tail. I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Sacrifice it." In Sufyan's narration: "We bought a ram to sacrifice, and the wolf cut off its tail or part of its tail. I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he ordered me to sacrifice it."
