أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ {فَكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ} [الأنعام 118] {وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ} [الأن��ام 121] فَنَسَخَ وَاسْتَثْنَى مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ {وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ} [المائدة 5]

Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us, Muhammad ibn Bakr informed us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Thabit al-Marwazi narrated to us, Ali ibn Husayn narrated to me from his father from Yazid al-Nahwi from Ikrimah from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said regarding: "So eat of that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned" [6:118] and "Do not eat of that over which the name of Allah has not been mentioned" [6:121] - This was abrogated and an exception was made from it. He said: "And the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them" [5:5].
