أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عِيسَى ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي مُرَاوِحٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ؓ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أِيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِهِ قُلْتُ أِيُّ الرِّقَابِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ أَغْلَاهَا ثَمَنًا وَأَنْفَسُهَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا قَالَ قُلْتُ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ؟ قَالَ تُعِينُ صَانِعًا أَوْ تَصْنَعُ لِأَخْرَقَ قُلْتُ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ؟ قَالَ تَدَعُ النَّاسَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ فَإِنَّهَا صَدَقَةٌ تَصَّدَّقُ بِهَا عَلَى نَفْسِكَ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Yusuf al-Asbahani informed us, Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn al-Husayn al-Qattan informed us, Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Abi Isa narrated to us, Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, Hisham ibn Urwah narrated to us from his father from Abu Murawih al-Ghifari from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "Which deed is best?" He said: "Belief in Allah and jihad in His cause." I said: "Which slaves are best to free?" He said: "The most expensive and the most valued by their owners." He said: I said: "What if I cannot do that?" He said: "You help a craftsman or do work for the unskilled." I said: "What if I cannot do that?" He said: "You refrain from harming people, for that is a charity you give to yourself."
