وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعَقَدِيُّ ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا ضَحَّى اشْتَرَى كَبْشَيْنِ سَمِينَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ فَإِذَا خَطَبَ وَصَلَّى قَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ فَذَبَحَ أَحَدَ الْكَبْشَيْنِ هُوَ بِنَفْسِهِ بِالْحَرْبَةِ وَيَقُولُ هَذَا عَنْ أُمَّتِي جَمِيعًا مَنْ شَهِدَ لَكَ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ وَشَهِدَ لِي بِالْبَلَاغِ ثُمَّ أَتَى بِالْآخَرِ فَذَبَحَهُ قَالَ اللهُمَّ هَذَا عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ثُمَّ يُطْعِمُهَا جَمِيعًا لِلْمَسَاكِينِ وَيَأْكُلُ هُوَ وَأَهْلُهُ مِنْهُمَا فَمَكَثْنَا سِنِينَ قَدْ كَفَى اللهُ الْمُؤْنَةَ وَالْغُرْمَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ يُضَحِّي
انگریزی ترجمہ
And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu Ahmad Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Hamdan al-Sayrafi in Marw informed us, Abu Qilabah narrated to us, Abu Amir Abd al-Malik ibn Amr al-Aqadi narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us from Ibn Aqil, from Ali ibn al-Husayn, from Abu Rafi' the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), whenever he sacrificed, would buy two fat, salt-and-pepper colored, horned rams. After delivering the sermon and praying, he would stand in his prayer place and slaughter one of the two rams himself with the spear, saying: "This is on behalf of my entire nation - whoever bore witness to Your oneness and bore witness to my conveyance of the message." Then the other was brought and he slaughtered it, saying: "O Allah, this is on behalf of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad." Then he would feed all of it to the poor and he and his family would eat from them. And we remained for years, Allah having sufficed us the expense and cost through the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) - no one from Banu Hashim would sacrifice.
