Al-Harith ibn Suwayid narrated from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud two hadith, one from the Prophet (peace be upon him) and one from himself. He said: The believer sees his sins as if he is sitting beneath a mountain fearing it will fall on him, while the wicked person sees his sins as flies that passed by his nose and he waves them away. Then he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than a man who camps in a dangerous place with his riding camel carrying his food and water, then sleeps and wakes to find it gone. He searches until thirst overcomes him, then says: I will return to my place and sleep until I die. He lays his head on his arm to die, then wakes to find his camel standing beside him with his food and water. Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His believing servant than this man with his camel and provisions.
