أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ثنا جَعْفَرٌ الْأَحْمَرُ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ قَالَ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ عَلَى بَزْرَجِ سَابُورَ فَقَالَ لَا تَضْرِبَنَّ رَجُلًا سَوْطًا فِي جِبَايَةِ دِرْهَمٍ وَلَا تَبِيعَنَّ لَهُمْ رِزْقًا وَلَا كِسْوَةَ شِتَاءٍ وَلَا صَيْفٍ وَلَا دَابَّةً يَعْتَمِلُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَلَا تُقِمْ رَجُلًا قَائِمًا فِي طَلَبِ دِرْهَمٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذًا أَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكَ كَمَا ذَهَبْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ قَالَ وَإِنْ رَجَعْتَ كَمَا ذَهَبْتَ وَيْحَكَ إِنَّمَا أُمِرْنَا أَنْ نَأْخُذَ مِنْهُمُ الْعَفْوَ يَعْنِي الْفَضْلَ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Sa'id ibn Abi 'Amr informed us, Abu al-'Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn 'Ali ibn 'Affan narrated to us, Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Ja'far al-Ahmar narrated to us, 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr narrated to us, a man from Thaqif informed me, who said: 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed me over Bazraj Sabur and said: "Do not strike any man a single lash in the collection of a dirham. Do not sell their provisions, nor their winter or summer clothing, nor an animal they use for work. And do not make any man stand up in pursuit of a dirham." I said: "O Commander of the Faithful, then I will return to you just as I left." He said: "Even so. We were commanded to treat them this way."
