أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ قَالَ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كُنْتُ أَكْتُمُكُمُوهُ ضِنًّا بِكُمْ قَدْ بَدَا لِي أَنْ أُبْدِيَهُ نَصِيحَةً لَكُمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَوْمُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَأَلْفِ يَوْمٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ فَلْيَنْظُرْ مِنْكُمْ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ لِنَفْسِهِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Bakr ibn Furak informed us, from Abdullah ibn Ja'far, from Yunus ibn Habib, from Abu Dawud, from Ibn al-Mubarak, from Abu Ma'n, from Abu Salih the freed slave of Uthman ibn Affan, who said: Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) said at the Mosque of al-Khayf: O people, I have a narration I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that I had been withholding from you out of care for you, but it has become clear to me that I should share it as sincere advice for you. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: A day of the warrior in the cause of Allah is like a thousand days in anything else. So let each one of you look to himself.
