وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ ثنا يَحْيَى ثنا قَيْسٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ قَالَ اشْتَرَيْتُ عَشَرَةَ أَجْرِبَةٍ مِنْ أَرْضِ السَّوَادِ عَلَى شَاطِئِ الْفُرَاتِ لِقَضْبِ دَوَابَّ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِعُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ اشْتَرَيْتَهَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهَا؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ رُحْ إِلِيَّ قَالَ فَرُحْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا هَؤُلَاءِ أَبِعْتُمُوهُ شَيْئًا؟ قَالُوا لَا قَالَ ابْتَغِ مَالَكَ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتَهُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Sa'id informed us from Abu al-Abbas, from al-Hasan, from Yahya, from Qays, from Abu Isma'il, from al-Sha'bi, from Utba ibn Farqad who said: I bought ten jaribs of land from al-Sawad on the bank of the Euphrates for fodder for my animals. This was mentioned to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: Did you buy it from its owners? I said: Yes. He said: Come to me. So I went to him and he said: O people, did you sell him anything? They said: No. He said: Seek your money where you placed it.
