أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبْدُوسٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ فَذَكَرَ قِصَّةَ مَقْتَلِ عُمَرَ ؓ وَفِيهَا عَنْ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ انْظُرْ مَا عَلَيَّ مِنَ الدَّيْنِ فَحَسَبُوهُ فَوَجَدُوهُ ثَمَانِينَ أَلْفًا أَوْ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنْ وَفَّى لَهُ مَالُ آلِ عُمَرَ فَأَدِّهِ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَإِلَّا فَسَلْ فِي بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَفِ أَمْوَالُهُمْ فَسَلْ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَلَا تَعْدُهُمْ إِلَى غَيْرِهِمْ فَأَدِّ عَنِّي هَذَا الْمَالَ رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ البيهقي ١٢٦٨١: عن
انگریزی ترجمہ
Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'O Abdullah ibn Umar, look at what I owe in debt.' They calculated it and found it to be eighty thousand or thereabouts. He said: 'If the wealth of the family of Umar suffices to pay it, then pay it from their wealth. Otherwise, ask among Banu Adi ibn Ka'b. If their wealth does not suffice, ask among Quraysh, and do not go beyond them to others, and pay this debt on my behalf.' Al-Bukhari narrated it in his Sahih.
