حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي قَرَابَةً أَصِلُهُمْ وَيَقْطَعُونِي وَأُحْسِنُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَيُسِيئُونَ إِلَيَّ وَيَجْهَلُونَ عَلَيَّ وَأَحْلُمُ عَنْهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَئِنْ كَانَ كَمَا تَقُولُ لَكَأَنَّمَا تُسِفُّهُمْ الْمَلَّ وَلَا يَزَالُ مَعَكَ مِنْ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ظَهِيرٌ مَادُمْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abd al-Rahman told us, from Zuhayr, from al-'Ala', from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have relatives; I maintain ties with them but they cut me off, I treat them well but they mistreat me, and they act ignorantly toward me but I bear it patiently." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If it is as you say, then it is as though you were feeding them hot ashes, and there will continue to be a supporter for you from Allah, Mighty and Sublime, as long as you remain upon that."
