'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us: Zuhayr - that is, ibn Muhammad - told us, from al-'Ala', from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "None of you should say 'my slave' or 'my slave-girl' - all of you are servants of Allah and all your women are maidservants of Allah - but let him say 'my boy,' 'my girl,' 'my young man,' or 'my young woman.'"
