حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَشَهَّدَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَشَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.

Waki' told us: al-Awza'i told us, from Hassan ibn Atiyyah, from Muhammad ibn Abi A'ishah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you completes the tashahhud, let him seek refuge with Allah from four things, saying: 'O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of Hell, the punishment of the grave, the evil of the trial of the Messiah al-Dajjal, and the trial of life and death.'" Waki' told us: al-Awza'i told us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), similarly.
