قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ : مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ وَعَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهُمَا أَخْبَرَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَمَّنَ الْقَارِئُ فَأَمِّنُوا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ وَافَقَ تَأْمِينُهُ تَأْمِينَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ.

He said: I read to Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi: Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab and from Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman, that both of them informed him, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the reciter says 'Amin,' then say 'Amin,' for whoever's saying of 'Amin' coincides with the saying of 'Amin' by the angels will have his previous sins forgiven."
