وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ يَهُودِيٌّ بِسُوقِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَالَّذِي اصْطَفَى مُوسَى عَلَى الْبَشَرِ قَالَ فَلَطَمَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ تَقُولُ هَذَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِينَا قَالَ فَأَتَى الْيَهُودِيُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌ يَنْظُرُونَ } قَالَ فَأَكُونُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ فَإِذَا مُوسَى آخِذٌ بِقَائِمَةٍ مِنْ قَوَائِمِ الْعَرْشِ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ قَبْلِي أَمْ كَانَ مِمَّنْ اسْتَثْنَى اللَّهُ وَمَنْ قَالَ أَنِّي خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى فَقَدْ كَذَبَ.

With this same chain of narration, he said: A Jew said in the marketplace of Medina, "By the One who chose Moses above mankind..." A man from the Ansar slapped him and said, "Do you say this while the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, is among us?" The Jew went to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, and told him. So the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: {And the Trumpet will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead, except whom God wills. Then it will be blown a second time, and behold, they will be standing, looking on.} He said: "I will be the first to raise my head, and there will be Moses holding on to one of the pillars of the Throne. I do not know whether he raised his head before me, or whether he was among those whom God excepted. And whoever says that I am better than Jonah son of Matta has lied."
