Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Arubah, who said: Qatadah narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Adam, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "The Prophets are brothers from different mothers; their religion is one, but their mothers (laws) are different. I am the closest of people to Isa (Jesus) the son of Maryam, because there was no prophet between me and him. He will descend, and when you see him, recognize him: he is a man of medium build, leaning toward redness and whiteness, with straight hair, as if his head is dripping water even though it has not been touched by moisture, wearing two light yellow garments. He will break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizyah, and end all religions until Allah destroys in his time all religions except Islam. Allah will destroy in his time the false Messiah, the one-eyed liar. Security will descend upon the earth until camels graze alongside lions, tigers alongside cattle, wolves alongside sheep, and children play with snakes without harming each other. He will remain as long as Allah wills, then he will die, and the Muslims will pray over him and bury him." Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, who said: Hisham narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Adam, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "The Prophets..." and mentioned its meaning, except that he said: "until the Messiah of misguidance, the one-eyed liar, is destroyed in his time."
