حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ الرِّدَّةُ قَالَ عُمَرُ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ تُقَاتِلُهُمْ وَقَدْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَاللَّهِ لَا أُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ وَلَأُقَاتِلَنَّ مَنْ فَرَّقَ بَيْنَهَا قَالَ فَقَاتَلْنَا مَعَهُ فَرَأَيْنَا ذَلِكَ رَشَدًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Yazid narrated to us, he said: Sufyan ibn Husayn narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utbah ibn Mas'ud, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say 'There is no god but Allah.' When they say it, they have protected their blood and wealth from me, except by its right, and their reckoning is with Allah the Almighty." He said: When the apostasy occurred, Umar said to Abu Bakr: 'Will you fight them when you heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say such and such?' Abu Bakr said: 'By Allah, I will not differentiate between prayer and zakah, and I will fight whoever separates between them.' He said: So we fought alongside him and we saw that as the right course.
