حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَّرَ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ حَتَّى كَادَ يَذْهَبُ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ قُرَابُهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَفِي النَّاسِ رِقَّةٌ وَهُمْ عِزُونَ فَغَضِبَ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا ثُمَّ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا بَدَا النَّاسَ إِلَى عَرْقٍ أَوْ مِرْمَاتَيْنِ لَأَجَابُوا لَهُ وَهُمْ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا فَيَتَخَلَّفَ عَلَى أَهْلِ هَذِهِ الدُّورِ الَّذِينَ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ فَأُحَرِّقَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ بِالنِّيرَانِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Asim ibn Bahdalah, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delayed the Isha prayer one night until nearly a third of the night or close to it had passed. Then he came and the people were few, sitting in scattered groups. He became very angry and said: "If a man were to invite people to a bone or two small pieces of meat, they would respond to him, yet they stay away from this prayer! I have been tempted to order a man to lead the prayer and then go to the houses of those who stay away from this prayer and burn them down upon them with fire."
