حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَالْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَا سَمِعْنَاهُ يَقُولُ مَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ أَعْلَمَ بِحَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنِّي إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْتُبُ بِيَدِهِ وَيَعِيهِ بِقَلْبِهِ وَكُنْتُ أَعِيهِ بِقَلْبِي وَلَا أَكْتُبُ بِيَدِي وَاسْتَأْذَنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْكِتَابِ عَنْهُ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Malik ibn Waqid al-Harrani narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Salamah narrated to me, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from Mujahid and al-Mughirah ibn Hakim, from Abu Hurayrah. They both said: We heard him say: "No one was more knowledgeable of the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) than me, except what was from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, for he used to write with his hand and memorize with his heart, while I used to memorize with my heart but not write with my hand. He asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) for permission to write from him, and he gave him permission."
