حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْهِلُ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ يَهْبِطُ فَيَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ دَاعٍ فَيُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ فَيُغْفَرُ لَهُ و قَالَ عَفَّانُ وَكَانَ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا بِأَحَادِيثَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ثُمَّ بَلَغَنِي بَعْدُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَأَحْسَبُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِيهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Agharr Abu Muslim testified that Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa'id both testified that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Allah waits until the first third of the night has passed, then He descends and says: Is there anyone calling upon Me, that I may respond to him? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, that I may forgive him?"
