حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ رَجُلًا لَمْ يَعْمَلْ خَيْرًا قَطُّ فَكَانَ يُدَايِنُ النَّاسَ فَيَقُولُ لِرَسُولِهِ خُذْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ وَاتْرُكْ مَا عَسُرَ وَتَجَاوَزْ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يَتَجَاوَزُ عَنَّا فَلَمَّا هَلَكَ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَهُ هَلْ عَمِلْتَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ قَالَ لَا إِلَّا أَنَّهُ كَانَ لِي غُلَامٌ وَكُنْتُ أُدَايِنُ النَّاسَ فَإِذَا بَعَثْتُهُ يَتَقَاضَى قُلْتُ لَهُ خُذْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ وَاتْرُكْ مَا عَسُرَ وَتَجَاوَزْ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَتَجَاوَزُ عَنَّا قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ تَجَاوَزْتُ عَنْكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'There was a man who never did any good deed. He used to lend to people and would say to his messenger: Take what is easy and leave what is difficult, and overlook, perhaps Allah will overlook us. When he died, Allah the Almighty said to him: Did you ever do any good? He said: No, except that I had a servant, and I used to lend to people, and when I sent him to collect debts, I would tell him: Take what is easy, leave what is difficult, and overlook, perhaps Allah the Almighty will overlook us. Allah the Almighty said: I have overlooked you.'
