حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ طَعَامَنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَسْوَدَانِ التَّمْرُ وَالْمَاءُ وَاللَّهِ مَا كُنَّا نَرَى سَمْرَاءَكُمْ هَذِهِ وَلَا نَدْرِي مَا هِيَ وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ لِبَاسُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النِّمَارَ يَعْنِي بُرْدَ الْأَعْرَابِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Hurayrah said: "Our food with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was just the two dark ones - dates and water. By Allah, we did not see this wheat of yours, nor did we know what it was. Our clothing with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was only striped cloaks - the garments of the Bedouins."
