وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ قَالُوا إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ فِي ذَاكُمْ مِثْلُكُمْ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي فَاكْلَفُوا مِنْ الْعَمَلِ مَا لَكُمْ بِهِ طَاقَةٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Beware of continuous fasting! Beware of continuous fasting!' They said: 'But you fast continuously, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'I am not like you in that regard. I spend the night being fed and given drink by my Lord. So undertake only as much of deeds as you are able to bear.'
