وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ آدَمَ عَلَى صُورَتِهِ طُولُهُ سِتُّونَ ذِرَاعًا فَلَمَّا خَلَقَهُ قَالَ لَهُ اذْهَبْ فَسَلِّمْ عَلَى أُولَئِكَ النَّفَرِ وَهُمْ نَفَرٌ مِنْ الْمَلَائِكَةِ جُلُوسٌ وَاسْتَمِعْ مَا يُجِيبُونَكَ فَإِنَّهَا تَحِيَّتُكَ وَتَحِيَّةُ ذُرِّيَّتِكَ قَالَ فَذَهَبَ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقَالُوا السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ فَزَادُوهُ رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَكُلُّ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ آدَمَ وَطُولُهُ سِتُّونَ ذِرَاعًا فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَنْقُصُ الْخَلْقُ بَعْدُ حَتَّى الْآنَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah the Almighty created Adam in His image, sixty cubits tall. When He created him, He said: Go and greet those angels sitting there, and listen to how they reply to you, for that shall be your greeting and the greeting of your descendants. So he went and said: Peace be upon you. They said: Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah — they added "the mercy of Allah." So everyone who enters Paradise shall be in the form of Adam, sixty cubits tall. Creation has been diminishing in stature ever since.'
