حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ قَالُوا فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ لَسْتُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ مِثْلِي إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي فَاكْلَفُوا مِنْ الْعَمَلِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Fudayl told us, Umarah told us, from Abu Zur'ah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Beware of consecutive fasting without breaking it" - he said this three times. They said: "But you fast consecutively, O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "You are not like me in that; I spend the night while my Lord feeds me and gives me drink. So take on only as much work as you can bear."
