حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ حُجَيْرَةَ الْأَكْبَرِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ الْمُسَدِّدَ لَيُدْرِكُ دَرَجَةَ الصَّوَّامِ الْقَوَّامِ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِكَرَمِ ضَرِيبَتِهِ وَحُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ.

Ali ibn Ishaq told us: Abdullah told us: Ibn Lahi'ah informed us: al-Harith ibn Yazid told me, from Ibn Hujayrah al-Akbar, from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: The steadfast Muslim can attain the rank of the one who continually fasts and stands in prayer reciting the verses of Allah, mighty and majestic is He, through the nobility of his disposition and the goodness of his character.
