حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَافِعُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَأَدْخَلَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ لَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْحَجَرَ وَالْمَقَامَ يَاقُوتَتَانِ مِنْ يَاقُوتِ الْجَنَّةِ طَمَسَ اللَّهُ نُورَهُمَا لَوْلَا ذَلِكَ لَأَضَاءَتَا مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَوْ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ كَذَا قَالَ يُونُسُ رَجَاءُ بْنُ يَحْيَى و قَالَ عَفَّانُ رَجَاءُ أَبُو يَحْيَى قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد و حَدَّثَنَاه هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ صُبَيْحٍ أَبُو يَحْيَى الْحَرَشِيُّ وَالصَّوَابُ أَبُو يَحْيَى كَمَا قَالَ عَفَّانُ وهُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ أَبُو يَحْيَى فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.

Yunus ibn Muhammad told us: Raja ibn Yahya told us: Musafi ibn Shayba told us: Abdullah ibn Amr told us, putting his two fingers in his ears, "I indeed heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'The Stone and the Station are two rubies from the rubies of Paradise; Allah extinguished their light. Had it not been for that, they would have illuminated what is between heaven and earth,' or 'what is between the East and the West.'" This is how Yunus said "Raja ibn Yahya," while Affan said "Raja Abu Yahya." Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Hudba ibn Khalid also narrated it to us, saying: Raja ibn Subayh Abu Yahya al-Harashi told us - and the correct name is Abu Yahya, as Affan and Hudba ibn Khalid said. Abdullah told us: al-Qawariri Ubaydullah ibn Umar told us: Yazid ibn Zuray' told us: Raja Abu Yahya told us, mentioning something similar.
