Ibrahim ibn Ishaq al-Talqani told us: Ibn al-Mubarak told us, from Layth ibn Sa'd: Amir ibn Yahya told me, from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli, who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah, Mighty and Sublime, will single out a man from my nation before all creation on the Day of Resurrection, and He will spread out before him ninety-nine scrolls, each scroll as far as the eye can see. Then He will say to him, 'Do you deny any of this? Have My recording angels wronged you?' He will say, 'No, my Lord.' He will say, 'Do you have any excuse, or a good deed?' The man will be at a loss and say, 'No, my Lord.' He will say, 'Indeed, you have with Us one good deed, and there will be no injustice against you today.' Then a card will be brought out for him, on which is written: 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.' He will say, 'Bring it forth.' He will say, 'O Lord, what is this card compared to these scrolls?' It will be said, 'You will not be wronged.'" He said: The scrolls were placed in one scale, and the scrolls became light while the card became heavy, for nothing outweighs the Name of Allah. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
