Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman told us; Ayyub told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw phlegm on the qiblah wall of the mosque, so he scraped it off with his hand, then turned to the people, angry with them, and said: "Indeed Allah the Exalted is before the face of one of you during his prayer, so none of you should spit toward his face during his prayer."
