حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُوَيْرِيَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا عَلَى بِئْرٍ أَنْزِعُ مِنْهَا إِذْ جَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ فَأَخَذَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الدَّلْوَ فَنَزَعَ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ وَفِي نَزْعِهِ ضَعْفٌ وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ مِنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَاسْتَحَالَتْ فِي يَدِهِ غَرْبًا فَلَمْ أَرَ عَبْقَرِيًّا مِنْ النَّاسِ يَفْرِي فَرِيَّهُ حَتَّى ضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us: Sakhr, meaning Ibn Juwayriyah, told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: While I was at a well drawing water from it, Abu Bakr and Umar came. Abu Bakr took the bucket and drew up one or two bucketfuls, and there was some weakness in his drawing, and Allah forgives him. Then Umar ibn al-Khattab took it from Abu Bakr, and it turned into a huge bucket in his hand; I have not seen anyone manage it so masterfully, until the people had their fill at the watering place.
