حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا أُعْطِيكُمْ وَأَدَعُ أَهْلَ الصُّفَّةِ تَلَوَّى بُطُونُهُمْ مِنْ الْجُوعِ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً لَا أُخْدِمُكُمَا وَأَدَعُ أَهْلَ الصُّفَّةِ تَطْوَى.
انگریزی ترجمہ
It was narrated that Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: “I will not give to you and leave Ahlus-Suffah suffering from hunger.` On one occasion he said: `I shall not give you a servant and leave Ahlus-Suffah suffering from hunger.”
