حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَطَرٌ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَافَرْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَ عُمَرَ فَكَانَا لَا يَزِيدَانِ عَلَى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَكُنَّا ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَانَا اللَّهُ بِهِ فَبِهِ نَقْتَدِي.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abd al-Samad told us: Hammam told us: Matar told us, from Salim, from his father, who said: I traveled with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and with 'Umar, and neither of them ever exceeded two rak'ahs, and we were astray, but Allah guided us through him, so by him we take our example.
