Yahya ibn Adam told us, Hasan - meaning Ibn Salih - told us, from Firas, from Atiyyah al-Awfi, from Ibn Umar, who said: I prayed with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, both at home and while traveling. He prayed the noon prayer at home as four rak'ahs with two rak'ahs after it; he prayed the afternoon prayer as four, with nothing after it; he prayed the sunset prayer as three with two rak'ahs after it; and he prayed the night prayer as four. And while traveling he prayed the noon prayer as two rak'ahs with two rak'ahs after it, the afternoon prayer as two rak'ahs with nothing after it, the sunset prayer as three with two rak'ahs after it, and the night prayer as two rak'ahs with two rak'ahs after it.
