حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ إِذَا بَلَغَ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً آمَنَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَنْوَاعِ الْبَلَايَا مِنْ الْجُنُونِ وَالْبَرَصِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الْخَمْسِينَ لَيَّنَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْهِ حِسَابَهُ وَإِذَا بَلَغَ السِّتِّينَ رَزَقَهُ اللَّهُ إِنَابَةً يُحِبُّهُ عَلَيْهَا وَإِذَا بَلَغَ السَّبْعِينَ أَحَبَّهُ اللَّهُ وَأَحَبَّهُ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الثَّمَانِينَ تَقَبَّلَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ حَسَنَاتِهِ وَمَحَا عَنْهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِ وَإِذَا بَلَغَ التِّسْعِينَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَسُمِّيَ أَسِيرَ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَشُفِّعَ فِي أَهْلِهِ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَامِرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.

Abu al-Nadr told us, al-Faraj told us, Muhammad ibn Amir told us, from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, from Ja'far ibn Amr, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: "When a Muslim man reaches forty years, Allah protects him from various afflictions - insanity, leprosy, and elephantiasis; and when he reaches fifty, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, eases his reckoning; and when he reaches sixty, Allah grants him a turning to Him in repentance that He loves him for; and when he reaches seventy, Allah loves him and the people of heaven love him; and when he reaches eighty, Allah accepts his good deeds and erases his bad deeds; and when he reaches ninety, Allah forgives him what has passed of his sins and what is to come, and he is named 'Allah's captive on earth,' and intercession is granted on behalf of his household." Hashim told us, al-Faraj told us, Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Amiri told me, from Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Uthman, from Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the like of it.
