Ali ibn Asim told us, Khalid al-Hadhdha' informed us, from Abd Allah ibn Shaqiq al-Uqayli, from Ibn Umar, who said: A man from the desert-dwellers called out to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), while I was between him and the Bedouin, and he said: "O Messenger of Allah, how is the night prayer?" He said: "Two by two; and when you fear the approach of dawn, [pray] one, and [also pray] two rak'ahs before the dawn prayer."
