Abd al-Rahman narrated to us: Malik narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whenever he returned from a pilgrimage, an umrah, or a military expedition, would say the takbir three times upon every rise of land, then say: "There is no god but God alone, with no partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. Returning, repentant, prostrating, worshipping, to our Lord we give praise. God has fulfilled His promise, given victory to His servant, and defeated the confederates alone."
