Abd ar-Rahman told us, Shu'bah told us, from Asim ibn Ubaydullah, who said: I heard Salim ibn Abdullah narrate from Ibn Umar, who said: Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of what we do - is it in a matter already decided, or something newly begun, or something innovated?" He said, "It is in a matter already decided, so act, O son of al-Khattab, for everything has been made easy. As for the one who is among the people of felicity, he acts toward felicity; and as for the one who is among the people of wretchedness, he acts toward wretchedness."
