Yahya narrated to us, from 'Ubaydullah: Nafi' told me, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, whenever he returned from an army or a raiding party, or from Hajj or 'Umrah, or whenever he came up over a hilltop or rugged ground, would say "Allahu Akbar" three times, then say: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. We return, repentant, worshipping, prostrating, and praising our Lord. Allah has fulfilled His promise, given victory to His servant, and defeated the confederates alone."
