حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي نَهْشَلٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَضَلَ النَّاسَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ بِأَرْبَعٍ بِذِكْرِ الْأَسْرَى يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { لَوْلَا كِتَابٌ مِنْ اللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ } وَبِذِكْرِهِ الْحِجَابَ أَمَرَ نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَحْتَجِبْنَ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ زَيْنَبُ وَإِنَّكَ عَلَيْنَا يَا ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ وَالْوَحْيُ يَنْزِلُ فِي بُيُوتِنَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَاسْأَلُوهُنَّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ } وَبِدَعْوَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَهُ اللَّهُمَّ أَيِّدْ الْإِسْلَامَ بِعُمَرَ وَبِرَأْيِهِ فِي أَبِي بَكْرٍ كَانَ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ بَايَعَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hashim ibn al-Qasim told us: al-Mas'udi told us, from Abu Nahshal, from Abu Wa'il, who said: Abdullah said: Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah, Most High, be pleased with him) surpassed the people in four matters: regarding the captives on the day of Badr, he ordered that they be killed, so Allah, Mighty and Sublime, revealed: "Were it not for a decree from Allah that preceded, a great punishment would have touched you for what you took." And regarding his mention of the veil, he ordered the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to veil themselves, and Zaynab said to him, "Are you imposing this upon us, O son of al-Khattab, while revelation descends in our houses?" So Allah, Mighty and Sublime, revealed: "And when you ask them for anything, ask them from behind a veil." And regarding the supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for him, "O Allah, strengthen Islam through Umar," and regarding his opinion concerning Abu Bakr — he was the first of the people to pledge allegiance to him.
