The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than a man who stops in a desolate, dangerous place, and he has his riding animal with him, carrying his food and drink. He puts his head down and sleeps. When he wakes up, his riding animal is gone. He looks for it in the heat and thirst, and says: I will go back to my place and sleep until I die. He lays his head on his arm, waiting to die. Then he wakes up and finds his riding animal beside him with his provision, food, and drink. Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His believing servant than this man with his riding animal and his provision.'
