Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri told us, Bashir ibn Salman told us, from Sayyar, from Tariq ibn Shihab, who said: "We were sitting with Abdullah when a man came and said: 'The prayer has been established.' So he got up and we got up with him. When we entered the mosque, we saw the people bowing at the front of the mosque, so he said Allahu Akbar and bowed, and we bowed. Then we walked forward and did as he had done. A man passed by hurrying, and said: 'Peace be upon you, O Abu Abd al-Rahman.' He said: 'Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth.' When we had prayed and returned, he went into his household, and we sat down, and some of us said to others: 'Did you hear his reply to the man - \"Allah has spoken the truth and His messengers have conveyed it\" - which of you will ask him about it?' Tariq said: 'I will ask him.' So he asked him when he came out, and he mentioned from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that before the Hour there would be: the greeting given only to those one knows specially, the spread of trade until a woman would help her husband in trade, the cutting of family ties, false testimony, the concealment of true testimony, and the spread of writing."
