Abu Mu’awiyah and Ibn Numayr told us, from al-A’mash, and Yahya, from al-A’mash — Umarah told me, al-Aswad told me, the meaning being the same — from Umarah, from al-Aswad, from Abdullah: "None of you should give Satan any part of himself, thinking that it is incumbent on him not to turn away except to his right; I have indeed seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and most of his turning away was to his left."
