Sufyan told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, from Abu Ma'mar, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, entered while there were three hundred and sixty idols around the Ka'bah, and he began to strike them with a stick that was in his hand, saying: 'The truth has come, and falsehood can neither begin nor repeat anything,' and 'The truth has come and falsehood has vanished; indeed falsehood is ever bound to vanish.'"
